This 1:18 scale model reproduces the Renault Dauphine "La Brute" in blue, a resin creation by OttOmobile produced in limited numbers. Behind the name lies an unlikely story: a US Navy veteran found a rusting 1960 Dauphine in the California desert and turned it into a mid-engine beast. The original four-cylinder engine was replaced by a 2.8-liter Volkswagen VR6 mounted mid-ship, wrapped in a carbon fiber widebody that stretches 22 inches wider than stock. La Brute went on to win the 2024 SEMA Show Car Contest, beating builds with far bigger budgets.
